Instructions for Use
- Before printing: Shake the resin thoroughly. Ensure the vat and build platform are clean and transparent.
- During printing: Pour resin into the vat. Adjust printer parameters based on the recommendations above.
- After printing: Use gloves, scraper, tweezers, and IPA (≥95%) or resin cleaner. Clean the model manually or with an ultrasonic washer.
- Post-processing:
- Remove the model from the platform with a scraper;
- Rinse or ultrasonically wash the model, then dry it;
- Use Anycubic Wash & Cure for best results;
- Remove supports, polish, and optionally paint;
- Fully cure the model under UV to reach maximum strength.
Precautions
- Store uncured resin in a cool, dark place at room temperature (18–35°C).
- Avoid direct sunlight or high temperatures. Do not heat above 60°C.
- If pigment settles, stir or shake the resin well before use.
- Do not soak printed models in liquid for too long — rinse and remove promptly.
- Always perform post-curing to ensure optimal mechanical properties.
- Post-curing recommendations:
- Use a 5–10 mW/cm² UV source (LED or mercury lamp) for no more than 1 hour;
- In summer sunlight: cure for about 1 hour outdoors;
- Avoid high-power light sources for prolonged periods;
- Use with the printer's UV cover or in a dark room to avoid premature curing.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
- Is this resin suitable for functional mechanical parts?
- Yes. Its toughness and flexibility make it ideal for dynamic and load-bearing components.
- Can I wear models made from this resin on skin?
- After curing, it's skin-safe and can be used for wearable applications like ear covers or cosplay pieces.
- Can I mix it with other resins?
- Yes. Tough Resin Ultra is perfect for blending to increase flexibility in brittle standard resins.
- What’s the best cleaning method for finished prints?
- Use ≥95% isopropyl alcohol or a resin cleaning agent. Ultrasonic cleaning is highly recommended.
- What to do if the resin thickens in the cold?
- Preheat it gently (below 60°C) to restore proper fluidity before use.
