eSUN PETG-CF Antique Brass Carbon Fiber Reinforced PETG Filament 1 kg

eSUN PETG-CF Antique Brass is an engineering PETG filament reinforced with carbon fiber in a decorative-technical Antique Brass shade. The material is also known as ePETG-CF and is designed for FDM/FFF 3D printing of rigid, strong, functional and visually clean parts.

The Antique Brass shade imitates the look of aged brass with a matte carbon-fiber texture. It is a strong choice for housings, decorative-technical parts, design elements, functional prototypes, accessories, mockups, electronic device parts, automotive inserts and products where PETG-CF strength is needed together with an expressive non-glossy appearance.

✅ Key advantages

  • Carbon fiber reinforcement: more rigid and stable than standard PETG.
  • Antique Brass color: decorative-technical aged brass shade for impressive functional parts.
  • Matte carbon-fiber texture: printed models look clean, professional and without strong gloss.
  • Less visible layer lines: carbon fiber filling visually improves the printed surface.
  • Higher rigidity: suitable for parts where standard PETG is too flexible.

🔧 Printing recommendations

  • Dry the filament at 65 ℃ for more than 8 hours before printing.
  • During long print jobs, use a dry box or a sealed filament container.
  • Use a wear-resistant nozzle: hardened steel, ruby, tungsten carbide or another wear-resistant option.
  • Do not use a standard brass nozzle for long printing: carbon fiber accelerates nozzle wear.
  • For first tests, start at 40–80 mm/s and increase speed gradually after profile tuning.
  • For strong parts, use enough walls and a high infill percentage.
  • Reduce outer wall speed if a smoother matte surface is required.
  • Tune retraction and travel moves to reduce marks on outer walls.
  • Use Z seam alignment and choose the seam position for a cleaner appearance.
  • After printing, let the part cool on the bed to reduce the risk of deformation.

✅ 3D printer compatibility

eSUN PETG-CF Antique Brass is compatible with FDM/FFF 3D printers using 1.75 mm filament, supporting a 240–260 ℃ nozzle temperature range and a 75–90 ℃ heated bed. The material can be printed on Bambu Lab, Creality, Prusa, Anycubic, Elegoo, Sovol, QIDI, Flashforge and other 3D printers when the profile is properly tuned.

For stable printing, dry material and a wear-resistant nozzle are important. PETG-CF can usually be printed without an enclosure, but for large technical parts and stable geometry it is useful to avoid drafts and sudden temperature changes.

Why a wear-resistant nozzle is needed

PETG-CF contains carbon fiber, so the material is abrasive. During long print jobs, a standard brass nozzle can wear quickly, causing the nozzle diameter to change, surface quality to become worse, extrusion to become unstable and dimensional accuracy to decrease.

For PETG-CF, hardened steel, ruby, tungsten carbide or another wear-resistant nozzle is recommended. A 0.4 mm nozzle is suitable for most tasks, but a 0.6 mm nozzle is often convenient for more stable feeding, stronger parts and long print jobs.

📦 Storage and drying

  • Store the spool in a sealed bag or container with desiccant.
  • Dry the material at 65 ℃ for more than 8 hours before printing.
  • Use a dry box for long print jobs.
  • Do not leave the filament open in a humid room.
  • If bubbles, popping or rough surface appear, dry the material again.
  • After printing, return the spool to dry storage immediately.

🛡️ Safety during printing and post-processing

eSUN PETG-CF is not classified as a hazardous chemical under GHS, but standard safety measures should be followed during printing and post-processing. Print in a well-ventilated area and avoid overheating, open flames, sparks and hot surfaces.

When sanding, drilling, cutting or mechanically processing PETG-CF parts, safety glasses and a mask are recommended. Dust from carbon-fiber-filled materials should not be inhaled, so post-processing should be performed carefully, with ventilation and proper cleaning of the work area.

❓ FAQ

What does Antique Brass color mean?

Antique Brass is a decorative-technical aged brass shade. It does not mean that the material contains metal; it is a visual color effect in PETG-CF with a matte carbon-fiber texture.

How is Antique Brass PETG-CF different from standard PETG?

Antique Brass PETG-CF has a matte carbon-fiber texture, higher rigidity and a more technical appearance. Standard PETG is usually glossier and more flexible.

Can PETG-CF be printed with a standard brass nozzle?

It is possible for short tests, but not recommended for regular printing. Carbon fiber accelerates brass nozzle wear, so hardened steel, ruby or another wear-resistant nozzle is recommended.

Does eSUN PETG-CF Antique Brass need drying?

Yes. Drying at 65 ℃ for more than 8 hours before printing is recommended. Dry material prints more consistently and produces a better surface.

Is PETG-CF beginner-friendly?

PETG-CF is more demanding than standard PLA and PETG because it is abrasive and requires drying. With a wear-resistant nozzle, dry box and properly tuned profile, it can be printed successfully on most modern FDM/FFF printers.

Does it need an enclosure?

PETG-CF can usually be printed without an enclosure, but for large technical parts it is better to avoid drafts and sudden temperature changes.

What parts is Antique Brass PETG-CF best for?

The material is suitable for housings, decorative-technical parts, accessories, mockups, brackets, holders, automotive inserts, electronic device parts, industrial fixtures and functional prototypes.

🚀 Why buy

eSUN PETG-CF Antique Brass is a strong choice for users who need a rigid, matte and technical material with an expressive aged brass shade. It is suitable for functional parts, housings, brackets, accessories, prototypes, decorative-technical elements and industrial fixtures. The carbon-fiber texture makes models visually clean, while carbon fiber reinforcement helps produce stable and rigid parts for practical applications.
