eSUN eBOX Pro Filament Dryer Box
eSUN eBOX Pro is a smart filament drying, storage and feeding box for FDM/FFF 3D printing. It helps remove moisture from filament spools, maintain more stable storage conditions and feed filament directly from a dry chamber during printing. eBOX Pro is especially useful for moisture-sensitive materials such as PA, PA12, PA-CF, PA12+CF, PC, TPU, PVA, PETG, ABS, ASA and other filaments where print quality strongly depends on humidity.
The main features of eSUN eBOX Pro are heating up to 70 ℃, operation time up to 99 hours, touch screen control, real-time temperature and humidity display inside the chamber, and uniform drying with PI heating and a turbo fan. This drying box helps reduce bubbles, popping, unstable extrusion, rough surfaces, weak layer adhesion and other common problems caused by wet filament.
eBOX Pro is not a filament or resin. It is a dedicated 3D printing accessory for filament drying, storage and printing directly from a controlled dry environment. It is suitable for workshops, production, service centers, laboratories, home 3D printing and engineering material workflows.

How eSUN eBOX Pro works
eBOX Pro heats the chamber and helps remove moisture from the filament. It uses PI heating and a turbo fan to improve air circulation. The screen displays real-time chamber temperature and humidity, while the user can set material, drying temperature and drying time.
When the temperature reaches 70 ℃, the device intelligently reduces power to maintain a stable temperature. If chamber humidity is above 20%, eBOX Pro increases drying activity; when humidity drops, drying power is reduced.
Suitable materials
- PLA / PLA+: helps restore print quality after storage in humid conditions.
- PETG: helps reduce bubbles, stringing and unstable extrusion.
- TPU: especially useful because flexible materials often absorb moisture quickly.
- PA / Nylon: one of the most important materials to dry because nylon is moisture-sensitive.
- PA-CF / PA12+CF: suitable for engineering composites that need stable feeding of dry material.
- PC: helps prepare material before printing strong and heat-resistant parts.
- ABS / ASA: useful for stable printing of technical and automotive components.
- PVA: should be stored and printed dry because it is highly moisture-sensitive.
When a filament dryer is needed
- The filament pops or crackles during printing.
- Bubbles, craters or rough texture appear on printed surfaces.
- Extrusion becomes unstable.
- Stringing increases noticeably.
- Layer adhesion becomes weaker.
- The spool has been stored open for a long time.
- PA, PA-CF, PC, TPU, PVA or other moisture-sensitive materials are used.
- Engineering parts must be printed with repeatable quality.
Printing directly from the box
eSUN eBOX Pro can be used not only for pre-drying, but also for feeding filament during printing. This is especially important for nylon, TPU, PVA and engineering composites: the material remains in a drier environment instead of sitting open near the printer.
For stable feeding, place the box correctly near the printer, avoid sharp filament bends and make sure the spool rotates freely inside the chamber. For rigid materials, keep the feeding path as straight as possible.
Spool compatibility
The maximum spool size for eBOX Pro is Φ200 × 73 mm. This fits many standard 1 kg filament spools, but oversized, extra-wide or heavy spools should be checked before purchase.
The device supports 1.75 mm, 2.85 mm and 3 mm filament diameters, so it can be used with most FDM/FFF 3D printers.
Usage recommendations
- Place eBOX Pro on a flat and stable surface before use.
- Check that the spool fits and rotates freely inside the box.
- Select material, temperature and drying time on the touch screen.
- During drying, one silicone plug can be opened to help moisture escape.
- When storing without active heating, keep the plugs closed.
- Add desiccant inside the box to improve dry storage.
- Do not open the lid unnecessarily during heating to avoid temperature loss.
- After drying, keep filament in the dry box or a sealed bag with silica gel.
Benefits for engineering 3D printing
For engineering printing, dry filament is often more important than small temperature or speed changes. Wet nylon, PC, TPU or PVA can ruin print quality even on a well-tuned printer. eBOX Pro helps stabilize the printing process and reduce failed prints when working with expensive technical materials.
The box is especially useful for mechanical parts, automotive components, electronic housings, industrial fixtures, functional prototypes, cosplay elements, props and decorative models where stable extrusion and repeatable quality are important.
