The Photon Mono X2 features the signature design of the Anycubic printer range with a large yellow protective cap. The lower part of the printer body is all-metal, black. The device is controlled using a 3.5'' TFT touch screen. There are two heatsinks and a USB port on the side of the printer, as well as on the back.
Device Capabilities
The Photon Mono X2 is capable of producing high quality 3D models combined with good print speeds. Among the devices of its line, this device is one of the fastest.
The printer is equipped with a matrix with an 8'' screen and a resolution of 4K. Due to the efficient projection of UV rays in two directions, uniform exposure of the layers is ensured. This is a proprietary patented technology that provides high quality printing. Sufficiently wide monochrome screen allows to achieve full curing of the layer in 2 seconds. In other models, the exposure time of the layer is on average 6 seconds.
A high-quality cover reliably protects the user from harmful UV radiation. At the same time, the Photon Mono X2 has a special sensor that monitors the position of the lid - until you close it, the device will not start printing. If you need to open the camera during the process, printing will immediately pause and resume only when you close the device.
Movement along the vertical axis in the X2 model is realized using double guides. This guarantees the stability and accuracy of model production even at high speeds.
Advantages of Anycubic Photon Mono X2
Powerful emitter
The Anycubic LightTurbo emitter generates up to 27,320 lux of UV rays that can fall either parallel or perpendicular to the LCD screen. This ensures a more uniform curing of the resin. Contrast ratio - up to 450 : 1.
Convenient management
The device is equipped with a convenient touch control panel with a 3.5'' TFT screen.
Higher accuracy and resolution than the previous model
The backlight screen has a pixel size of 48 µm and a resolution of 4096 × 2560 pixels. This is 4% better than the Mono X model.
Platform with checkered texture
Checkered engraving of the printing platform provides better fixation of products during printing. Such a surface of the platform is obtained by laser engraving. This texture helps the products not only to be better fixed on the surface, but also makes it easier to remove them.
Increased speed while maintaining print stability and quality
To improve stability and print quality, the Mono X2 is equipped with double guides along the vertical axis and a locking POM nut. These elements, together with a design that minimizes vibrations, provide high accuracy and stability of the printing platform movement along the vertical axis - up to 10 microns. Such a constructive solution allows to increase the printing speed while maintaining the quality of the model and the accuracy of applying layers.
The backlight screen is larger compared to the previous model
The X2 is equipped with a 9.1" monochrome backlight screen, which has a 3.8% larger print area than the Mono X. This allows you to get large-sized products or print several 3D models at the same time.
Compatibility with slicing software
The Mono X2 works with Photon Workshop's proprietary slicer. It is completely free and is updated regularly. The printer is also compatible with other slicers, such as the popular Lychee Slicer or CHITUBOX.
Compatible Consumables
The device is compatible with a variety of common photopolymer resins, including standard, hardened, flexible, as well as transparent, water-soluble resins, and many others.
Comparison with other models in the series
The printer measures 417 x 290 x 260, larger than the Photon Mono 4K but smaller than the Photon Mono X 6K. The X2 model weighs 7 kg, which is heavier than the 4K model (4.3 kg) but lighter than the X 6K (11 kg).
The printing speed is up to 60 mm/hour. This is more than 4K (50mm/hr) but less than X 6K (80mm/hr).
Print volume - 4.8 liters. The Mono 4K has a figure of 1.74 liters; the X 6K model has 5.89 liters.
Based on the above data, we can conclude that Photon Mono X2 provides users with an optimal balance of compactness and performance.
